Archaeologist Gravel Dugson on his way to refill the hidden stone grave he and his team unearthed last week
According to earlier plans, the historical stone grave was supposed to be opened back in 2014, but due to unforeseen complications, that only happened last week.
"We’ve been digging for about a week now," archaeologist Gravel Dugson told Smalltown Magazine. "But now it’s time to fill it back in."
"Sounds exciting," we say. "Why did it take until now to dig it up?"
"Well, that’s obvious," Dugson replies. "We didn’t know where it was. It was hidden."
"Okay, fair enough," we nod. "So you used modern tools to find it? Lasers? MRI scanners, maybe?"
"Nope. We used brushes and shovels," says Dugson. "That’s what we archaeologists are good at."
"Great!" we say. "So what did you find in the grave?"
"Absolutely nothing," Dugson answers, exasperated. "It was extremely old. Plus, we’re not entirely sure we dug in the right place."
