Blazing Red’s Pípir Broadcastsson is in place at the Town Hall Pub sharp at 08:00 every morning before work.
Blazing Red’s Pípir Broadcastsson (BR) enjoys a beer, but has no love for either the opening hours or the beer prices.
"Having to wait all the way until 8 in the morning to get a beer is outrageous," Pípir Broadcastsson tells Smalltown Magazine. "I have to be at Town Hall no later than 9, so, hello, I barely have time to slam down a couple of pints."
He hopes someone will speak up for his cause, and ideally also against the alcoholized prices.
"Everything has its price," we offer as comfort. "After all, Blazing Red did vote for the alcohol law back in the day, as far as we remember."
"Don’t even talk to me about prices," Broadcastsson bursts out, a tear in the corner of his eye. "When I started drinking at 13, a pint cost less than £1. And now? It’s absurd. You blow through a hundred just before lunch!"
"But now I gotta run," says Pípir Broadcastsson, getting up. "Apparently we’re voting on some stuff in City Council today."
