High Demand for Easter Eggs
Avslagsby's goat farm is experiencing a surge in demand for genetically modified Easter eggs
Since we reported on Avslagsby Goat Farm and Adoption Agency’s initiative with yellow emoji-decorated eggs, the demand has skyrocketed. As recently as today, Easter Eve, Avslagsby reports heavy traffic at the farm shop.
"People are going absolutely nuts," says Avslagsby over the phone to Smalltown Magazine while he's selling eggs as fast as he can.
"They always have been," we joke.
Avslagsby is quite the humorous farmer, so he takes our joke in stride.
"Crazy folks buy a lot of eggs, so that means money in the till—and that’s just fine," says Avslagsby. "There’s no way my wife and I are eating those eggs, so we turn it into business instead."
"Oh?" we ask. "Why don’t you eat them, you’re farmers after all?"
"We do eat eggs," replies Avslagsby. "Just not these ones. Both the hens and the eggs are genetically modified to the breaking point, and we don’t even know which came first—the hen or the egg—so it’s best if other people eat them."
