Remember to Set Your Clocks
Clocks spring forward one hour this Sunday — along with the municipal budget
It’s that time again. Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 30, 2025, at exactly 2:00 AM.
Changing the clock is technically simple, but just to be safe, please refer to the detailed instructions below.
Modern devices like phones, tablets, and smart TVs usually adjust themselves — but we still recommend staying up until 2:00 to personally witness it, just to be sure. For residents using sundials, unfortunately, no official guidance is available at this time.
“Starting this year, a 25% VAT will be added to the Daylight Saving Tax,” says Grand-Aunt Knowitall, Councilor for the Town Hall Clock. “We’re doing this to ensure a smoother transition between winter time and summer time.”
“We heard Børst Juksrud leaked that the time change would bring nice updates too,” we prod — hopefully without revealing our source.
“Thought so,” replies Grand-Aunt Knowitall. “Juksrud is a blabbermouth. But he’s not wrong. With the new summer schedule, we’re scrapping the tax on white and rosé wine, and we’ll do our best to improve the summer weather.”
“That’s great!” we say, visibly uplifted. “What about red wine?”
“No thank you,” says the Councilor. “Red wine gives me a headache.”
