Shots Fired Case in Smalltown Marina Heads to Court Monday at 10:00 AM
In the fall of 2022, Smalltown Magazine reported on an incident where a gun was discharged at Smalltown Marina, resulting in tragic consequences. The shot killed a soon-to-be seagull father and left a single mother of two eggs dependent on transitional support.
The officer involved later played a key role in unraveling the attempted kidnapping of artist Q-Bear, allegedly orchestrated by Gôran Bov, ringleader of the Brygga Mafia, who at the time was serving a six-year sentence in Smalltown Correctional Facility.
The case now going before the Smalltown District Court will first and foremost determine whether the shot was a wake-up shot or an accidental discharge. Secondly, the court will assess the amount of compensation owed to the surviving partner and her now fatherless eggs.
The police officer has previously taken responsibility for the shot but has denied criminal guilt.
As the case lacks substantial technical evidence, the prosecution will rely primarily on witness testimonies from those present at the scene—along with a few who weren’t.
